PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable work machine including a movable protection cover which does not obstruct work during a normal bush cutting work and is moved to protect a tip tool when being subjected to large acceleration.SOLUTION: The portable work machine includes: a drive source; a tip tool driven by the drive source and cutting a cutting object; and a fixed protection part covering a portion of the tip tool. The portable work machine also includes: a movable protection part movable to a different region from the portion in an outer periphery of the tip tool; and a movable protection part movement mechanism moving the movable protection part to the region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
