A tape transport path (38) of a feeder (21) has grooves (38A) formed therein that, during the transport of a carrier tape (910) that has protruding component storage parts (901d), have the component storage parts (901d) passing therethrough. The insides of the grooves (38A) have provided thereto a tape lower surface urging member (110) that, until a carrier tape (900, 910) that is inserted from a tape insertion part (21d) reaches a rear-side-part sprocket (64), is pressed and downwardly deformed by a lower surface of the applicable carrier tape (910) when said carrier tape (910) has protruding component storage parts (901d) and that urges a lower surface of the applicable carrier tape (900) when said carrier tape (900) has component storage parts (901c) that do not protrude. |
