1301570 Solutions of salts of cross-linked copolymers CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 5 June 1970 [6 June 1969] 27187/70 Heading C3P An aqueous solution of alkali metal salt or salts of a cross-linked copoylmer or copolymers si produced by reacting one or more copolymers of maleic anhydride with one or more olefinically unsaturated hydrocarbons in one step and in aqueous phase at from 15‹ to 60‹ C. with 0À01 to 5% by weight (with reference to total copolymer) of one or more cross-linking agents selected from polyhydric alcohols and epoxides, and with one or more alkali metal bases. In the examples copolymers of maleic anhydride with styrene, and optionally isobutylene are reacted with sodium hydroxide, pentaerythritol, sorbitol, phenyl glycol and styrene oxide. |
