PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the leg to easily pass through a leg opening part and prevent side leakage. SOLUTION: In the underpants type diaper, both side edge parts of a front body section 2 and a rear body section 3 which are connected at a crotch part 4 are integrally joined, and a trunk opening part 7 and a left and right pair of leg opening parts 5, 6 are disposed. The foot tip is made easy to put in by disposing a notched part 21 which becomes a non-joining part connected to leg opening parts 5, 6 toward the trunk opening part 7 side at the joining part 6 of the front body section 2 and the rear body section 3. Furthermore, the tightening degree of the leg opening parts 5, 6 in which the notched part 21 is disposed can be adjusted by disposing an adjusting band 21 so as to cross this notched part 21.
