PURPOSE:To transmit torque accurately to a coupling member by constructing a torque limiter such that a driven flange is arranged movably in floating state with respect to the rotary shaft of the torque limiter and the coupling face with the coupling member can take random position. CONSTITUTION:Torque is inputted from a drive source to a boss section 20a, then the torque is transmitted from the boss section 20b through a ball bearing 21 to the side of a driven flange 23 then through a holding member 22 to a coupling member 33 thence to a specific device. When overload condition occurs at the side of the driven flange 23, the ball bearing 21 springs out from a recess 23a while resisting against the resiliency of a spring 26 and moves a pressure plate 29 to the input side, and thereby the flange 23, the member 22, a spring holder 25 and the like slide to provide the function of torque limiter. When there is misalighnment between the rotary axis A of the torque limiter and the rotary axis B of the member 33, the flange 23 moves to eliminate the misalignment thus coupling them without producing a gap between the members 22, 33. |
