The invention concerns an installation comprising at least one furnace (FM) and an air distilling apparatus including at least a mean pressure column (MP) and a mixing column (CM) supplying oxygen (O) to the fumace, the fumace and the apparatus being fed by a common fan blower (S), the mixing column (CM) receiving compressed air throu gh a booster (C) coupled with a cryogenic turbine (T) expanding a fluid in the distillation apparatus, the booster/turbine assembl y (C-T) being coupled with an auxiliary assist-unit (EM). L'installation combinée comprend au moins un four (FM) et un appareil de distillation d'air comprenant au moins une colonne moyenne pression (MP) et une colonne de mélange (CM) fournissant de l'oxygèn e (O) au four, le four et l'appareil de distillation étant alimentés par une même soufflante (S), la colonne de mélange (CM) recevant d e l'air surpressé par un surpresseur (C) couplé à une turbine cryogénique (T) détendant un fluide de l'appareil de distillation, l'ensembl e surpresseur/turbine (C-T) étant couplé à un organe d'assistance auxiliaire (EM).
