PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue tide prediction method capable of predicting a blue tide before generation thereof.SOLUTION: The concentration of a potassium ion (or a calcium ion) and the concentration of a sulfate ion in a water area to be measured are measured, and the generation of the blue tide is predicted from the ratio between the concentration of the potassium ion (or the calcium ion) and the concentration of the sulfate ion. For example, if it is defined that blue tide coefficient=(sulfate ion concentration)/(potassium ion concentration), when a value thereof is 4.2 or lower with the blue tide coefficient (Kbase) as an index, the blue tide is predicted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
