The textile are loaded into drum mounted in the housing of the apparatus. Treatment liquor is then fed into the housing. The drum is slowly rotated at a speed suitable for the textiles being treated. The liquor is heated until the inner pressure is considerably higher than the ambient atmospheric pressure. Excess liquor is then tapped off and the drum is centrifugally accelerated to drive the liquor from the textiles. The speed of revolution is adjusted to suit the textiles being processed.
