<p>1292548 Release agent for thermoplastics NEYNABER CHEMIE GmbH 13 Feb 1970 [15 Feb 1969] 7021/70 Headings C3P and C3R A release agent for preventing the sticking to parts of apparatus of a thermoplastic synthetic material during processing comprises a mixed ester having a hydroxyl and an acid number of from 0 to 6 and is obtained from (a) an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and/or aromatic dicarboxylic acid, (b) and aliphatic polyol and (c) an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having from 12 to 30 carbon atoms, by an esterification reaction. The release agent is added to the thermoplastic material prior to processing in an amount of from 0À01 to 5% by weight of the thermoplastic material. In the example release agents are prepared from (A) maleic acid, pentaerythritol and behenic acid (B) and (C) adipic acid, pentaerythritol and oleic or stearic acid. The release agent may be added to polyvinyl chloride containing a thio-tin stabilizer.</p> |
