<p>PURPOSE:To independently separate an optical writing device from a printer body by providing the titled device with the 1st control means for controlling an electrophotographic process and the 2nd control means for controlling an optical dot generating means formed in an optical writing head. CONSTITUTION:The 1st control means 101 for controlling the electrophotographic process of a printer body consists of a printer controller 24. The 1st control means 101 sends printing data to the 2nd control means 102 and the 2nd control means 102 controls the operation of the optical writing head based on the printing data. The optical writing head is provided with liquid crystal optical shutter 25 to be an optical dot generating means, a fluorescent lamp 9 to be a light source, a lamp heater 10, an LCS panel heater 12, a cooling fan 13, etc., to control the operation of respective parts. Since the optical writing head is formed as an intelligent unit, the optical writing head and the printer body can be used by respectively independent specifications.</p> |
