The invention relates to a fuel injection system for mixture compressing, applied ignition internal combustion engines, with a timed valve which periodically connects a pressurised, fuel-carrying line to a fuel carrying return line at lower pressure as a function of at least one operating parameter of the internal combustion engine. In order to prevent noises caused by pressure surges of the timed valve, the lines (feedline 16 and the return line 22) are led in such a way that their internal chambers at a point (housing section 46) further or immediately upstream and downstream of the timed valve (32) are separated from one another only by a common, flexible partition wall (48). <IMAGE> |
