PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of picture defects and to obviate the formation of an oxide film on the periphery of a drum which deteriorates the drum by pressing and polishing the periphery of the drum produced by drawing with a press roller. CONSTITUTION:A conductive material is drawn to produce a photosensitive drum 1. The drum 1 is slowly moved in its longitudinal direction, and the drum 1 is pressed by plural press rollers 2 of a presser at a specified pressure, the rollers are rotated by a driving device and moved in C direction along the periphery of the drum 1, and the periphery of the drum 1 is polished by the operation of press rollers 2. Accordingly, the protrusions on the drum 1 are reduced in size, an oxide film is not formed, and the picture defects of the drum 1 are not generated. Besides, a specially selected material need not be used for cutting. |
