HOOD OF THE WRAPAROUND TYPE HAVING AN INJECTION-MOULDED LINING THAT BEARS AGAINST A STRUCTURAL RING IN THE CLOSED POSITION OF THE HOOD

A front hood (10) of a motor vehicle is intended to take up a closed position in which it closes off an engine compartment (11) of the vehicle. Each longitudinal edge of the front hood is provided with a lip (12d, 12g) that extends downwards when the front hood (10) is in the closed position. The front hood (10) comprises an outer skin (13) and an inner lining (14) secured to the outer skin (13). The inner lining (14) is obtained by injecting material into a mould and shaped such that the periphery of the inner lining (14) delimits an annular bearing face (16) intended to bear, when the front hood (10) is in its closed position, against a structural surface (17) of the motor vehicle in the form of a ring (15) that is formed in a structural element of the vehicle other than the front hood (10) and delimits an access opening (18) to the engine compartment (11) when the front hood (10) is in an open position.
