<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which makes it possible not only to decrease thermal crown but also to obtain necessary roll crown in an early stage of rolling, and to miniaturize the equipment and lower the cost thereof. SOLUTION: The device consists of a plurals of a header 6 arranged along the axial direction of a rolling mill 1, having a plural numbers of nozzles of cooling water and vapor, which injects cooling water 3 from a cooling water injection nozzles 7, to the inner part of a plate which has a length of width + 150 mm according to the width of the plate, and to that of the other part, having a length of while +150 mm, while cooling water supply is suspended, vapor 2 is supplied from the vapor injection nozzle 8. The nozzle 8 is a round pipe having an inner diameter D of 20 mm in length. The distance L between the tip of the nozzle and the surface of the roll is 150 mm and satisfy the relation of L <=8×D. The thermal crown control is conducted inafore said order.</p> |
