PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bulb and an electric bulb for display gentle to the eyes which is good at vibration-proof, long-life, and high output and yet with high radiation rate of far infrared rays. SOLUTION: An electrode structure is formed with a plate-shape resistive element formed with materials including carbon, an inner lead wire, an end part of which is connected to either end of the plate-shape resistive element, and an outer lead wire to which each end part of the inner lead wire is connected through a terminal plate. The electrode structure is inserted into the inside of a heat-resistant glass tube in which inert gas is sealed in and the heat-resistant glass tube is melted and sealed in the vicinity of the terminal.
