PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat for practicing putting allowing a player to practice the putting in the context of putting on an actual green. SOLUTION: This mat for practicing the putting is used for practicing the putting by putting a golf ball 2 with a putter head 3 on a narrow and long mat body 1 having a false hole 4 aiming at the false hole 4, the outer border lines A and B of the mat body 1 are formed of curves which cannot be used as datum lines for determining the direction of the face of the putter head 3 and the swing-through direction. The outer border line A can be defined as a waveform curve.
