PURPOSE:To improve the shield effect of an air curtain device by a method wherein the intersection angle of discharged air is set below a given value, an air suction port and an upper fan are arranged upper stream from a supply chamber, and an impeller and a moving blade are arranged in the supply chamber. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 8 to bring blow-out air into a laminar flow state and a moving blade 9 to vary the flow passage of blow-out air are arranged in a supply chamber 6. When an upper fan 12 is operated by a signal by which an object is detected, air is sucked in a chamber 7 through an air suction port 11 by means of a filter 13. Air is guided in the supply chamber 6 and guided in a casing 10 through the inner surface of the casing 10, and vertical turbulence in the supply chamber 6 is straightened by an impeller 8 located at the central part of the casing 10 to produce a horizontal laminar flow. The laminar flow is discharged through a supply opening 5 by the moving blade 9, arranged on the air supply opening 5 side, so that the intersection angle of an air flow is reduced to a value lower than 180 deg.. |
