The invention concerns the branch of machine building. The object of invention is a superfinishing head. The superfinishing head contains a housing, in which a vibrator is located. The vibrator is connected with a slack adjuster of bars also located in the housing. The guiding of rolling contact bearing is connected with a piston of compensator. The stock of vibrator is connected with slack adjuster with the aid of clutch and valve. The stock of vibrator is also connected with bar holder. In accordance with the invention, the vibrator is made in the form of a conical differential equipped with reversal mechanism. The reversal mechanism is located between the lower wheel of differential and the bottom of upper part of the housing. The lower wheel is made with teeth of different height. Moreover, the teeth of identical height are repeated alternately with frequency, which is selected depending on the required time of contact of bar with the surface of component. Besides, the teeth of lower wheel are made with difference in height them in range 0.5-2 mm. And reversal mechanism is made as a compression spring. The invention provides for increasing of productivity of cutting and decreasing roughness of worked surface due optimal cutting modes.
