PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for correcting bent leads wherein bent leads are uniformly corrected with accuracy without need for bend detecting operation. CONSTITUTION: An internal shaft member 5 is inserted from below Inside the roots of leads 1a,... in a stem 1, and lug members 6 are inserted from outside into the base between the leads 1a, 1a. Then three operations are performed: In a first stroke operation, the lug members 6 and the internal shaft member 5 are moved down to the mid point of the leads la, and then the leads 1a are stroked. In a loosening operation, the leads 1a are rotated several times in normal and reverse directions at the mid point. In a second stroke operation, the lug members 6 and the internal shaft member 5 are moved down from the mid point to the tip of the leads, and then the leads 1a are stroked. |
