PURPOSE: To turn to a highly accurate timing by using wavelet transformation for the extraction of the timing information of a block cycle from reception signals in multi-carrier transmission based on orthogonal transformation by block processing. CONSTITUTION: On the transmitter side, an inverse discrete Fourier transform unit IDFT 12 generates signals for which M pieces of carriers arranged with equal frequency intervals are synthesized so as to transform the signals on a frequency axis to the signals on a time base. On the reception side, the reception signals are converted to digital signals by an amplifier 16, a filter 17 and an A/D converter 18. Further, the signals are decomposed to the equal frequency intervals by a discrete Fourier transform unit DFT 19 for respective block and the respective signals are respectively demodulated by a demodulator 20 and reproduced to reception information data by a parallel/serial converter 21. Since the DFT 19 requires timing signals for performing blocking so as to perform the block processing, A/D conversion signals are inputted to a wavelet transform unit 22 and the timing signals are obtained from the output. |
