The water-proof treating method of a leather comprises (a) retanning the shaved leather with an aldehyde, (b) neutralizing it with NaHCO3 and CH3COONa, and aging and water washing it, (c) fatliquoring the leather fiber with a water-proof silicon oil, a fat amide paraffin and a fluorine resin compound, (d) removing a heavy metal(Ca, Al, Fe) from the leather and the water, (e) sticking the mixed water-proof oil with a sticking agent i.e. ethyl diamine tetraacetate(EDTA), and (f) drying it at 15˜25 deg. C, 35˜45 deg. C and 50˜70 deg. C for 21˜27hrs, 21˜27hrs and 3.5˜6.5hrs, in oder.
