The invention permits the use of a bar code scanner with an ordinary cash register, to carry out automated selling initiated by computing equipment and register the sequence of operations performed by the cashier.The cash register consists of a keyboard, a system block, a printer and an indicator connected in a series and linked to the system block. Additionally, the cash register has a matching module, a bar-code scanner and a computing equipment. The matching block consists of a matching block with the said scanner, a matching block with the computing equipment and a microprocessor.<IMAGE>
