The unit (30) has a movable contact plate (48,49) fixed to a motor output shaft. Each contact plate has at least one of two types of moving contact (50A,50B). Slide contacts (60A,61A,60B,61B) fixed to a cover plate (36) slide over the moving contact plates, to determine the rotation position of the motor output shaft. Each flange is used with the unit depending on the combination of the motor rotation directions (forward, backward) and the doors (left, right), so that a single cover plate can be used, in which the flange is accommodated, for both doors, independently of the direction of rotation of the motor.
