1. A method of preparing an electrocatalyst comprising:
preparing a non-carbon composite support particle comprising:
oxidizing ruthenium nanoparticles to obtain ruthenium dioxide; andreducing a titanium precursor and depositing titanium nanoparticles onto the ruthenium dioxide in a liquid, wherein the ruthenium dioxide has a first particle size and the titanium nanoparticles have a second particle size, the first particle size being greater than the second particle size;agglomerating titanium nanoparticles with the deposited titanium nanoparticles to produce an agglomerated titanium particle with a particle size that approximates the first particle size; andoxiding the aggregated titanium particle to form titanium oxide; and depositing active catalyst particles on the non-carbon composite support particles. |
