发明名称 METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF THERMAL HEAD
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a thermal head which improves printing quality by a method wherein dispersion in a resistance value of a heating element in each head and dispersion of a resistance value of the heating element in a dot unit are equalized. CONSTITUTION:A glaze layer 2 is provided on an insulating substrate 1 and a heating element 3 consisting of a thin film resistor material of a mixed composition of a high melting point metal and an insulating material is formed to a glaze layer 2. A pattern conductor 4 being a common electrode and a pattern conductor 5 being an individual electrode are formed on the resistor 3. After further forming a protective film 6 covering the pattern conductor, the resistor 3 is so heated as to reach at least a dot temperature required in printing operation. Further, a resistor film is annealed in a vacuum to prepare a heating element and thereafter, the pattern conductor being the common electrode and the pattern conductor being the individual electrode are formed. Further, the protective film covering the pattern conductors 4, 5 and the heating element can be also formed.</p>
