PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber type optical filter which can have an optical filter chip fixed at a specific position on a substrate and has superior optical characteristics. CONSTITUTION: On the substrate 3 having a groove 4 where an optical fiber is fixed, end parts of at least a couple of quartz-based optical fibers 2 are arranged opposite each other across a specific gap 7, and the optical filter chip 5 having an optical film is arranged in the gap 7 to constitute the optical fiber type optical filter 1; and the substrate 3 is made of a material which has high light transmissivity, the part where the substrate 3 and optical fibers 2 are fixed with an adhesive above the optical fibers 2 and at least nearby the optical filter chip is covered with a member with high light transmissivity, and the optical filter chip 5 is fixed to the substrate 3 with the thermosetting adhesive 8 which has high light transmissivity and good moisture resistance. Therefore, even when the photosetting adhesive is used, the optical fiber type optical filter can be obtained which can has the optical filter chip 5 tightly fixed at the specific position on the substrate 3. |
