PURPOSE: To form a uniform film structure and to enable recording with good sensitivity by dissolving at least a resin base material and an organic low molecular substance into a solvent and applying the prepared solution to a supporting body and drying a reversible thermal recording layer while making the temperature gradient in the depth direction and the width direction thereof little. CONSTITUTION: Guide rolls 3 are fixed to the outer wall of a drying chamber 2 through the rotating shafts 4 of the guide rolls. A plurality of pieces of guide rolls 3 are arranged in the drying chamber. A heating medium is circulated into the respective guide rolls 3 through the introduction pipe 5 of the heating medium. A supporting body 1 is heated from the opposite side to a reversible thermal recording layer application face. The reversible thermal recording layer is applied on one side of the supporting body. The other side thereof is brought into contact with the guide rolls 3 and conveyed into the drying chamber 2. The reversible thermal recording layer is uniformly dried by blowing hot air on the reversible thermal recording layer application face while heating one side of the opposite side to the reversible thermal recording layer application face by means of the guide rolls 3 into which the heating medium is circulated. |
