PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnostic supporting device for a human behavior monitoring system that facilitates confirmation of mount at installation and an inspection work for a person monitoring device. SOLUTION: A storage device of the fault diagnostic supporting device 1 comprising a personal computer stores a fault diagnostic control program for the person monitoring device (c). Then the fault diagnostic supporting device 1 is connected to the person monitoring device (c) in a communication enabled way, outputs a command to the person monitoring device (c) according to a prescribed fault diagnostic procedure and receives an acknowledgement signal or the like from the person monitoring device (c) with respect to the command. The fault diagnostic supporting device 1 displays the procedure for the fault diagnosis, analyzes the acknowledgement signal or the like and displays the result of the fault diagnosis on a display device.
