The present invention relates to an apparatus for locking a mobile device for protecting password leakage and an unlocking method thereof. The apparatus includes a user interface unit providing a locking setting screen receiving a setting password to lock a mobile device, a locking screen receiving input values for unlocking, and a user screen enabling a user to use the function of the mobile device; a memory unit storing, by type, a password to be used in the locking settings of the mobile device, and memorizing the received setting passwords; and a control unit cancelling a locking state of the mobile device when the setting passwords correspond to the entire input values. According to the present invention, the unlocking function of the mobile device can be implemented through a password input from which regularity is removed in a mobile device or the like of a touch input type to enable others not to identify password rules even when the others repeatedly observe the password input, thus preventing a password from being leaked. Further, the function of creating visual beauty can be performed in the display of the mobile device through input icons having various shapes and colors. |
