PURPOSE: To surely separate conductive nonmagnetic metal, magnetic metal, and nonmetal in waste by attaching magnets which are specified by making respective magnetization directions different with respective polarities specified to a permanent magnet rotor which is freely rotatably installed in an endless belt. CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet rotor installed in a drum 1 is rotated at a higher speed than the drum l and a belt wich is wound onto the drum 1 and a driving roller in the same direction to separate conductive nonmagnetic metal, magnetic metal, and nonmetal. In this process, in the rotor, the cross section of a cylindrical magnetic member 2a for fixing a permanent magnet is formed in a shape of a gear. The first magnets 3, 3' the magnetization direction of which is made equal to the tangent direction of the drum 1 are installed on the peripheral surface of a gear-shaped recession. Besides, the second magnets 4, 4' the magnetization direction of which is made equal to the normal line direction of the drum 1 are installed on a gear shaped protrusion. The opposite surfaces of the first magnets 3, 3' have the same polarity; the drum sides of the second magnets 4, 4' have the same polarity with the first magnets 3, 3'. |
