PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel that controls the movement range of collars that are connected between a bearing and a pinion, and that provides a smooth winding drive rotation performance. SOLUTION: The pinion 8 is axially supported through-collars 6 and 7 by bearings 24 and 28 in rotatable and movable fashion in the axial direction, respectively; the collar 6 is loosely fitted inside the inner ring of the bearing 24, connected to the recessed part 1o of a right frame 1b; the large-diameter part 8a of the pinion 8 is loosely fitted inside a cylindrical part 6a; a ring-shaped flange part 6b is arranged inside a peripheral groove-like space between a support wall surface (a), at a side opposing the bearing 24 of a ring-shaped wall part 1m and the inner ring side surface of the bearing 24; the collar 7 is loosely fitted inside the inner ring of the bearing 28, connected to the recessed part 5h of the bearing structure 5; the right end of the shaft cylinder 8b of the pinion 8 is loosely fitted in a cylindrical part 7a and the ring-shaped flange part 7b is arranged in the peripheral groove-like space, between a support wall surface b on a side opposing the bearing 28 of a ring-shaped wall part 5k and the inner ring side face of the bearing 28.
