[Also in Division D2] An epoxysilicone is made in Example 1 by mixing trimethyl - endblocked dimethylpolysiloxane, trimethyl - endblocked methylhydrogenpolysiloxane, dimethylpolysiloxane cyclics and cone. H 2 SO 4 , agitating adding toluene and NaHCO 3 , stirring and heating to 180‹ C. After cooling and filtering the fluid produced is mixed with isopropylether, vinylepoxycyclohexene and chloroplatanic acid, refluxed and has benzothiozole added to it. The polymer is then cooled, filtered esparged with N 2 . In Example 2, allyl glycidyl ether is substituted for the vinylepoxycyclohexene. |
