<p>PURPOSE: To form a flexible tube in a compact size, light a weight, reduce a cost, stabilize a spring constant, and prevent attack noise when displacement is restricted, in the flexible tube for a vehicle exhaust system having bellows for absorbing the expandable and contractible displacements of first and second exhaust pipes installed in a vehicle exhaust system. CONSTITUTION: An outer cylindrical member for protecting a bellows 3 and preventing it from extending to full length, consists of an outer cover 5 which is connected to a first exhaust pipe 1 and which is formed in a cylindrical shape for covering the outer peripheral part of the bellows 3 by a plate material, a color 7 which is connected to a second exhaust pipe 2 and in which an erecting part 7a head toward the inner surface 5a of the outer cover 5 is formed, and a member having an extending displacement stopper part 6 formed by bending the end part of the outer cover 5 to an inner side, and an elastic stopper member 8 arranged on the erecting part 7a of the color 7.</p> |
