PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive and small spectrum diffusion signal reception device whose power consumption is constant and whose quality is high. CONSTITUTION: A reception signal is converted into an intermediate frequency signal, and the intermediate frequency signal is binarized. A reception signal processing is set to be a digital processing. A control signal controlling a numeric control-type variable frequency oscillator 61 is generated by a first control signal generation circuit from signals obtained by setting the multipled output of the first and second carrier signals of orthogonal phases from the numeric control-type variable frequency oscillator 61 and the multiplied output of the binary signal of the intermediate frequency signal by a pseudo noise code to pass through low pass filters 64 and 65 so that the frequency and the phase of the output carrier signal of the numeric control-type variable frequency oscillator 61 follow a carrier component included in the intermediate frequency signal. Furthermore, a second control signal generation circuit generating a control signal controlling a code driving device so that the phase of an output pseudo noise code from a pseudo noise code generator is matched with the phase of the pseudo noise code included in a spectrum diffusion signal based on the outputs of the low pass filters 64 and 65.
