PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the printing quality of data to be imprinted regardlessly of the sensitivity and kind of a loaded film in a camera provided with a data imprinting function. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with a control means (S905) for prolonging the light emitting time of an LED for imprinting besides when the ISO sensitivity is detected by a film sensitivity detection means, the light emitting time of the LED for imprinting is decided based on the detected sensitivity (S902) and it is detected by a means (S904) detecting whether the film is the reversal film or not that the film is the reversal film. Thus, the data can be imprinted with the printing quality corresponding to the sensitivity of the film. Besides, the data can be imprinted with optimum density even in the case of the reversal film whose sensitivity is low with respect to the imprinting from a film base surface.
