PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a fuel pump for an automobile. SOLUTION: The fuel pump is driven by an electric motor in such a way that the fuel pump is driven by an energized electric motor in a defined rotational direction in order to feed fuel in the direction of an internal combustion engine.
