The present invention relates to a removing member for removing a fabric selvedge which is capable of saving costs for removing the selvedge and remarkably improving productivity by removing the selvedge generated on both edges of a fabric during a weaving process; and a method for removing a fabric selvedge using the removing member. The removing member includes: a body protect (50) attached on a body (10) in an easily detachable manner, installed to simultaneously move when the body (10) is operated, and bringing a weft (30) in close contact with an end of a temple (40) so as not to generate a selvedge (20); and a temple (40) which is used to prevent the arrangement width of a warp (60) from being reduced by the weft (30) and is provided with an extending piece (42) configured to have an end portion (43) which is formed by extending a portion of a gripping piece (41) of the temple on an end of a fabric gripping piece (41) of the temple (40) such that a fabric can be cut in a state in which a temple cutter (70) is introduced inside the temple.
