1282296 Polyglycine derivatives FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 7 Nov 1969 [8 Nov 1968] 54581/69 Heading C2C Water and water-soluble impurities are removed from polyglycine derivatives of the formula where Ar is aryl, R 1 is H or alkyl, R 2 is OH, NH 2 , an alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkoxy or aryloxy group and n is 2, 3 or 4, by dissolving them in one or more water-immiscible solvents, and removing the water and water-soluble impurities; preferably the major portion is removed mechanically and the remainder, if necessary after further washing with water, is removed by distillation. The polyglycine derivative solution thus obtained may be stabilized against crystallization by adding an additional quantity of the same or a different solvent.
