A framework is covered with a plurality of parallel laths (12), individually supported on the framework at their two extremities by elastic resilient supporting elements (15). The supporting elements have tappets (15) capable of sliding in the framework and the lower end of which cooperates at both sides of the framework with a common spring assembly (18). The lathing can thus be adapted in an optimal manner to the anatomical shape of a body lying on the mattress without the need for separately adjusting the stiffness of each individual lath. |
