<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking of a honeycomb product body, and to manufacture an silicon carbonaceous honeycomb structure having a uniform pore diameter by freeze-drying and removing a medium liquid. CONSTITUTION:A plastic mixture in which a bonding agent for molding and a medium liquid are added to silicon carbide powder is formed in a honeycomb product body. Said product body is coated with an airtight film, and frozen. The airtight film is gotten rid of, and the product body is dried under decompression and the medium liquid is taken off. Lastly, said product body is baked.</p> |
