PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the optimum sampling frequency of device constitution even if the device constitution varies. SOLUTION: The CPU 10 and coprocessor 17 of this musical tone generator which generates musical tones in accordance with the waveform data formed at the prescribed sampling frequency determine the data of the waveform samples necessary for each one sample by arithmetic operation with a prescribed equation and set the sampling frequency reverse from the time required for this arithmetic processing. The CPU 10 changes the generation system of the musical tones to a system for lessening the burden of the CPU when the sufficient musical tone quality is not obtainable at the sampling frequency set by the time required for the arithmetic processing. |
