PURPOSE:To increase efficiency and improve the ease of operation by ensuring that a motor is stopped, if its temperature reaches an operation suspension temperature level, and the motor drive is resumed, if its temperature drops below a motor restoration temperature level determined by a detected remaining unprinted volume. CONSTITUTION:While printing is underway, the temperature of a motor 3 is detected using a thermister 11, and CPU 2 compares the detected temperature with a temperature at which the motor 3 is deactivated, e.g. 80 deg.C. Then if this stop temperature or a higher temperature level is reached, CPU 2 activates a temperature braker 7 to suspend the rotation of the motor. Further, CPU 2 calculates a printing volume expected to run, that is, a remaining unprinted volume, and also calculates a restoration temperature at which the drive of the motor 3 is resumed based on the remaining unprinted volume. On the other hand, CPU 2, detecting the temperature of the motor 3 which is deactivated, continuously using the thermister 11, resumes the drive of the motor 3, if the temperature doops below the restoration temperature level. |
