PURPOSE:To obtain a gene coding a changed product of the bone morphogenetic protein receptor useful for the diagnoses of various osteopathia, the screening of a bone morphogenetic protein-related substance, the purification of the bone morphogenetic protein, etc. CONSTITUTION:The gene of a bone morphogenetic protein receptor, e.g. mycsm BMPR having a base sequence of the formula, is obtained by joining a gene coding the extracellular region of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptor to a gene coding an antigen-determining group for recognizing an antibody. The gene of the bone morphogenetic protein receptor is obtained by inserting a cDNA coding the whole length of the prepared BMP receptor into a vector, and subsequently subjecting the vector to multiplication, isolation and purification treatments from a primer containing a base sequence coding an epitope tag and a sequence complementary to a translation-finishing sequence by a PCR method. |
