PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supporting document production capable of retrieving required know-how information easily by preferential use information corresponding to current status of document production when a user retrieves know-how for document production and capable of creating a high quality document easily. SOLUTION: A know-how retaining means retains know-how of document production, and when a means for accepting a direction of status of document production accepts a direction on status of document production, a means for deciding preferential use information decides preferential use information from the know-how of document production utilizing the status of document production. A know-how selecting and presenting means selects document production know-how from the know-how retaining means and presents it utilizing the preferential use information decided by the means for deciding the preferential use information. By directions of document production status, directions of know-how retrieval are given and know-how information is retrieved according to the preferential use information. In this way a user can obtain information on necessary document production know-how without having to execute a complicated operation for know-how retrieval. |
