Sinter molded body (A) comprises matrix material (80-99 wt.%) and a strontium oxide-/aluminum-oxide-mixed crystal (1-20 wt.%) (I); where the matrix material, based on its weight contain 90-100 wt.% of stabilized zirconium dioxide. Sinter molded body (A) comprises matrix material (80-99 wt.%) and a strontium oxide-/aluminum-oxide-mixed crystal (I) of formula (SrAl 1 2O 1 9) (1-20 wt.%); where the matrix material, based on its weight contain 90-100 wt.% of stabilized zirconium dioxide. An independent claim is included for the preparation of (A) containing 1-20 wt.% of (I), comprising heating 75-95 (preferably 83-93) wt.% of zirconium oxide, 3-15 (3.5-7.5) wt.% of ytrrium oxide, 0.5-15 (1.7-7) wt.% of aluminum oxide, 0.1-5 (0.4-1.5) wt.% of strontium carbonate and/or strontium oxide and 0-1 wt.% of (I) at 1250+-200[deg]C for a time T1 and then at 1400+-100[deg]C for a time T2.
