PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female terminal of such structure as a molten solder does not choke a tubular part for inserting a male terminal. SOLUTION: A female terminal 1 is provided at the lower end of side faces 3a, 3a thereof with cuts 9 facing each other. The female terminal 1 is stopped by horizontally opening a stop leg 7 projecting from a mounting hole 12 to the rare surface of a printed wiring board 11. Under that state, rear surface of the printed wiring board 11 is immersed into a molten solder 21. When the printed wiring board 11 is drawn up from the molten solder 21, a bridged molten solder 21 choking a tubular part 2 is cut off at the cuts 9 and falls down because the affinity of molten solder 21 to the tubular part 2 is damaged by the cuts 9 and the coupling force is weakened. Residual molten solder 21 is shifted, by surface tension, to the circumferential fringe of tubular part 2 except the cut 9 and solidified. |
