The construction of a deformation projectile, particularly the head thereof, has a decisive influence on the deformation of the projectile. Particularly in the case of ammunition used for hunting purposes, the structure, shape and size of the deformation projectile must be adapted to the type of wild animals. According to the invention, the projectile (1) is characterized in that it consists of a projectile body having no shell; a cavity (18) extends centrally relative to the longitudinal axis (19) of the projectile in the tapering front part (4) of the projectile body (2; the cavity (18) becomes narrower in graded diametrical areas (22, 23, 24, 25) starting from the entrance (31) thereof; a perforation tappet (3) forms the tip of the projectile (15) and the perforation tappet (3) consists of a head (13) closing the entrance to the cavity (31) and a shaft (14) extending into the cavity (18). |
