PURPOSE: A back projection type projector and a method for using the same are provided to make a small-sized projection by shortening a projection distance. CONSTITUTION: A back projection type projector includes a light projecting part(10) and a screen projection surface. The light projecting part(10) projects light converted according to image information. The projected light is projected on the screen projection surface(30). The projector has a reflection mirror(20). The reflection mirror(20) is arranged at the rear side of the screen projection surface. The reflection mirror(20) reflects the light projected by the light projecting part(10). The light projection part is arranged at a lower part of the screen projection surface(30). The image information is corrected through an inclination projection.
