A specific macromolecule crystal evaluator comprising a sample detection stage (500) for detecting a protein crystal in a sample container (10), an X-ray measurement stage (600) disposed away from the sample detection stage (500) and adapted to X-ray diffraction measurement of a protein crystal, a transfer unit (400) for transferring the sample container (10) from the sample detection stage (500) to the X-ray measurement stage (600), and a central processing unit (700) for identifying the position of the protein crystal on the basis of the information obtained by the sample detection stage (500), controlling the transfer unit (400) according to the position information, and positioning the protein crystal on a sample mount portion (610) of the X-ray measurement stage (600).
