A water gas generating apparatus for a vehicle is provided to prevent the solution in an electrolyte tank, a water tank, and a hexane tank from entering into a filter during running, by communicating filter units and the respective tanks through respective pipes. A water gas generating apparatus for a vehicle includes an electrolytic cell(11), an electrolyte tank(12), a water tank(14), a hexane tank(17), a gas tank(19), an engine connection unit(20), and filter units(13,15,18). The electrolytic cell generates water gas through an electrolytic analysis of electrolyte. The electrolyte tank is connected to the electrolytic cell, and supplies electrolyte to the electrolytic cell. The water tank is filled with water for passage of water gas passed through the electrolyte tank. The hexane tank is filled with a hexane solution for passage of water gas passed through the water tank. The gas tank stores water gas passed through the hexane tank. The engine connection unit is connected to an engine so as to supply water gas from the gas tank to the engine. The filter units include filters having V-shape cross section for filtering moisture from gas and discharging the moisture downwardly. The filter units are communicated to tops of the electrolyte tank, the water tank, and the hexane tank, respectively, through pipes(13d,15d,18d), respectively.
